My name is Carrie Sawyer. I am a trained and experience TEFL teacher, Special Education teacher, and science educator. I would be delighted to share my educational and professional background with you, in hopes to obtain this position with your agency.
I am currently teaching science education to elementary and middle school. I am relocating to Germany, in hopes of obtaining a teaching position. I previously taught business and general English at all levels to both individual clients and companies in Madrid. I also taught GMAT, SAT, and GRE test preparation. Previous to moving to Spain, I taught business English, General English, and test preparation to students of all ages and levels in Poland. I am experienced in teaching BEC exams, TOIEC, and other examinations. I believe that my resume outlines a work and education history that you will find both interesting and relevant. Beginning with knowledge on teaching English as a Second language, I added to my experience by researching, practicing, and teaching methodology and curriculum parents and teachers. I gained some strong interpersonal skills and became more skillful at dealing with people in contrasting learning environments. My work style is task oriented, productive, and flexible around shifting priorities.

In addition to TEFL experience, I hold a California Emergency Credential and have extensive experience working as a Visiting Teacher for the San Diego Unified School District. As you will see by my resume, I have exposure to various classroom settings and various curriculum's, including elementary school math and reading, as well as middle school math. I also have a great deal of experience working with many different types of children and learning levels. My teaching certification and sociology degree proved that helpful. I am currently in the process of obtaining a Masters degree in Education with at the University of Massachusetts. I will have one more class to finish when this position begins.

In addition to teaching, I have worked as a residential counselor for children who were removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect. I have also worked as a behavior therapist for children with developmental disabilities. I taught parents how to implement different behavior strategies with their children. I am comfortable working as mediator, a supervisor, and an educator.

I do believe this would be an excellent opportunity to share my skills and love of teaching and education. If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact me. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Carrie Sawyer
